“Carmen” includes Spanish dances, classical ballet and modern dance. Supreme choreographic improvisation, refined costumes and successful set solutions creates an intense and stylish atmosphere.

Apie spektaklį

“Carmen” is a well-known story of love, passion and betrayal. In A. Cholina’s dance performance this story gets a new twist: Carmen becomes a winner. Carmen did love, was betrayed, she died, but… she won at the end because her love was stronger than life itself.

Cholina’s “Carmen” consists of powerful and mutually supporting climactic moments: the incantation scene where the black fan becomes the token of Carmen’s fate; the fight scene in the cigar factory; meeting with Don José in prison; the bullfight and Carmen’s death.
